A wave of reactions has emerged on social media after police arrested a man in connection with a troubling case involving a missing schoolgirl. The incident triggered intense discussion online as more details about the arrest became public.
Reports indicate that the suspect was found with a Grade 5 pupil who had been unaccounted for over several days. The child, who attends Soyoin Primary School in Kamungei area of Sotik Sub-county, had reportedly gone missing from her home in Surek village.
She was later located in Kapkoros, where she was allegedly being concealed by a middle-aged man. Police officers from Kapkoros and Kapletundo stations responded promptly, rescued the girl, and ensured she was taken to a safe place.
The case has sparked widespread concern, particularly as incidents involving minors continue to rise in different regions. Many Kenyans online expressed deep sadness over the situation and urged authorities to strengthen child protection efforts.
