For more than seven years, Samuel, a 39-year-old watchman from Entebbe, worked long night shifts just to build a better future for himself and his girlfriend. From the first day they met, he believed she was the woman he would marry. They struggled together, planned their future together, and even talked about buying land and starting a family. When she got an opportunity to travel abroad for work, Samuel didn’t hesitate. He sold his motorbike, took a loan, and used all his savings to pay for her visa, ticket, medical tests, and other expenses. He told everyone she was going to work so their future could be brighter.
The first few months after she left, they communicated well. She thanked him for supporting her, promised to return and marry him as soon as she completed her contract, and even talked about how they would build a small rental house together. Samuel felt proud that he had sacrificed for love. But slowly, things began to change. Her calls reduced, her messages became shorter, and sometimes she ignored him for days. He kept comforting himself, thinking she was busy adjusting to her new job.TO READ MORE,TAP HERE
