A tragic incident in Ngara, Nairobi, has left a university community in mourning after a fourth-year student died during a late-night party at a residential building. The young woman fell from the 11th floor under circumstances that witnesses have described as both shocking and distressing.
According to eyewitness accounts, the party—attended by several of her classmates—was ongoing late Saturday night when tensions reportedly escalated between the victim and one of her close friends. Sources claim the two got into a heated argument allegedly linked to a romantic rivalry involving a man popularly referred to as “Mbaba wa Subaru.”
Moments after the confrontation, the student is said to have fallen from the high-rise building. Some residents reported hearing loud voices, shouting, and a struggle just before the fatal fall. Emergency responders rushed to the scene, but the victim was pronounced dead upon arrival at a nearby hospital.
Police have opened a full investigation into the incident. An officer at the scene confirmed that one of the victim’s friends has been detained for questioning. “We are treating this as a suspicious death.
