Speaking in a recent address, Gachagua said:
“Raila ametumia Kalonzo na Wakamba vibaya kwa miaka 15. Huyu Ruto naye ametumia mimi na watu wa Mlima vibaya.”
His remarks underscore the growing rift between him and President Ruto, with the former DP now positioning himself as a vocal critic of the Kenya Kwanza administration. At the same time, he drew parallels with Raila’s long-standing partnership with Kalonzo Musyoka, suggesting that both leaders have consistently shortchanged those who stood by them.
Gachagua’s comments are likely to stoke fresh debate in Kenya’s political arena, especially with the 2027 elections approaching and alliances beginning to shift.
