A boda boda rider in Kiambu has been left devastated after his wife, Paulina, died in a guest house where she had gone to meet another man.
Her husband narrated how he returned home to find their children hungry and alone, only to learn the next morning that his wife had been found dead in a lodging.
He explained that police told him his wife had died in the guest house after checking in with another man.
According to him, the man left the room saying he was going to buy food but never came back, and his wife was later found dead inside.
The boda rider also opened up about the struggles in their marriage, saying he had endured betrayal but chose to remain patient.
He recalled advising his wife to stop cheating, but she told him she was looking for a man with money and not a broke person like him.
He added that he tried to ask her to be patient with his hustle, but she refused.
Tension further rose during Paulina’s burial, as her family demanded the right to bury her and also take custody of the children.
The boda rider, however, insisted that despite not having paid dowry, he had lived with her for 15 years and loved her deeply.
Paulina’s sudden death has left the family in pain and raised difficult questions about loyalty, family, and betrayal.
