Flying colours: Nyambaria High registers 28 straight As, 383 A- , 76 B+ & 1 B plain

Nyambaria High School, an SDA boy school located in Nyamira county, has shocked the nation with their outstanding performance in the recently released 2022 KCSE Results. The school, which had a total of 488 candidates, boasts an impressive 100% pass rate, with all students gaining perfect scores to qualify for university.

The school posted a mean score of 10.8975, making them one of the top schools in the country. Of the 488 students, 28 scored an A, 383 scored an A-, 76 scored a B+ and one student scored a B.

Principal Charles Onyari attributed the school’s success to the support and collaboration of stakeholders and the local community. He also praised the discipline of the class, which he believes contributed to their outstanding performance. In comparison, the school had a mean score of 9.3 in 2021.

Preliminary results show that Cardinal Otunga High School came in second place with a mean score of 10.76, followed by Asumbi High School – 10.37, Mang’u High School – 10.36, St Anthony High School – 10.33 and Mudasia Academy – 10.3.

Established in 1966, Nyambaria High School is a Seventh-day Adventist school that not only excels academically, but also participates in various co-curricular activities such as drama, rugby, music, science congress and indoor games.
