“Niko salama sasa” Nyandarua Senator Methu speaks After Allegedly Abduction attempt
Nyandarua Senator Kaba Methu has confirmed that he is safe following an incident in which he reportedly escaped an attempted abduction.
Taking to his social media, Senator Methu thanked all those who expressed concern for his safety. He narrated how he managed to flee from individuals using Subaru vehicles who allegedly tried to abduct him.
The senator expressed his appreciation to a motorist who offered him a ride from the scene of the incident to Delview. He mentioned that he was dressed in a black jacket and hat at the time and was transported in a vehicle carrying avocados. “Thank you all for your concerns, I am safe,” he wrote.
Earlier in the day, Senator Methu had accompanied Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua on a visit to several areas including Kanyanya-ini, Kangema, Mukuyu, and Kabati, where they engaged with local residents.
The Deputy President and his allies recently unveiled a new political party, the Democratic Change Party (DCP). They have been vocal critics of President William Ruto and the United Democratic Alliance (UDA). Since his impeachment, Gachagua has continued to gain political traction, contrary to many people’s expectations.
