“Hii ni Maajabu!” 2 women seen fighting over a chair during Labour Day at Uhuru Gardens

A brief commotion interrupted the Labour Day celebrations at Uhuru Gardens after a disagreement broke out between two women over a plastic chair.

The incident occurred shortly before the official speeches began. According to witnesses, the two women, who did not appear to know each other, had a dispute about seating arrangements, which led to a minor scuffle.

Efforts by nearby attendees to calm the situation were initially unsuccessful, drawing attention from many in the crowd. Unfortunately, in the confusion, one of the women reportedly misplaced her mobile phone, which could not be found afterward.

Security officers quickly stepped in to restore order, separating the individuals involved and escorting them away from the main seating area. They were briefly questioned before being released.

Several event-goers later expressed concerns about limited seating, suggesting that the shortage may have contributed to the misunderstanding.

Despite the disruption, the rest of the celebration proceeded peacefully, with dignitaries delivering speeches in honor of workers nationwide.

Authorities have not yet commented on the matter, though there are growing calls for improved planning and crowd management at future public events.
