Niliambia mabinti zangu ukizaa nakufukuza – Pastor James Maina Ng’ang’a of Neno Evangelical Church SAYS

Pastor James Maina Ng’ang’a of Neno Evangelical Church has recently startled his congregation by sharing his reasoning for not wanting grandchildren.

In a video that has surfaced from one of his sermons, Ng’ang’a articulated his perspective on raising daughters, describing it as a unique challenge. He expressed concern that if not handled carefully, daughters could be swayed by worldly pleasures and indulgences.

The pastor recounted how he had previously warned his daughters that if any of them became pregnant, they would have to leave his home. He clarified that while he would not abandon them, he would provide support from a distance, stating that he does not want grandchildren because he himself is a grandchild.

Ng’ang’a remarked, “I told my daughters, if you have a child, it’s outside my home. We will greet each other with a handshake, and if I help you, it will be from afar. But raising your child here with me? Grandchildren? Whose grandchildren? I don’t want grandchildren because I am a grandchild myself.”

The pastor further emphasized that accepting grandchildren would imply he is not truly saved. He noted, “Maybe that means I am not saved. I won’t be saved, but if you handle things well, I welcome you. If you have a husband, that’s fine, but don’t have a child while living in my house. That’s just my stance, not necessarily God’s.”
