Ibrahim Traore Security Tightened After Assassination Attempts in Burkina Faso

Burkina Faso’s President Ibrahim Traoré is now under heightened protection by special forces following multiple failed assassination attempts. These repeated threats to his life come after he made significant changes in Burkina Faso, such as preventing the export of gold from the country. “Our resources will remain for us and our population,” declared President Traoré.

Many people in Burkina Faso suspect that some Western countries, particularly France, are behind these assassination attempts. It is alleged that the same forces responsible for stirring civil unrest in the Congo and Darfur, orchestrating the death of Lumumba, and the creation of ISIS, are also behind the threats against Ibrahim Traoré.

In many African nations under foreign influence, former colonizers continue to exert control by training and employing the majority of military commanders. These powers possess detailed knowledge of these commanders’ weaknesses, ambitions, and susceptibility to corruption.
