Equity Bank Announces 2.8B Scholarship For Students International universities

Equity Bank has unveiled a KES 2.8 billion scholarship fund to support 113 students who have been accepted into prestigious global universities through the Equity Leadership Program (ELP).

The program has successfully facilitated admissions to 71 international universities across 22 countries. Some of the higher learning institutions include Harvard University and Amherst College in the USA, as well as the University of Debrecen in Hungary.

Among the scholarship recipients, 82 are from Kenya, 21 from Rwanda, 8 from Uganda, and 2 from the Democratic Republic of Congo.

In addition to the scholarship, Equity Bank announced that each undergraduate student will receive an airlift token of KES 200,000 to assist with their transition to the new institutions.
