Kenyan hip-hop artist Stivo Simple Boy has once again found himself in a precarious situation, facing the threat of eviction from his home in BuruBuru. This comes hot on the heels of his recent media attention for spending Sh 200,000 on a date with media personality Betty Kyallo.
On Tuesday, Stivo Simple Boy’s manager, Chingi Boy, took to his Instastory to share a cryptic message, hinting at tensions between himself and the artist.
Chingi Boy revealed that despite his unwavering support for Stivo’s career, he encountered resistance from the artist’s family members, ultimately resulting in Stivo’s eviction from his BuruBuru residence.
In an exclusive interview with TUKO.co.ke, Chingi disclosed that Stivo was forcefully ejected from his home by his own siblings, who subsequently took possession of the property.
This setback marks a significant blow for Stivo Simple Boy, who had previously received support from Mumias East MP Peter Salasya, who had offered to cover his rent back in July 2023.
It was initially reported that Salasya’s assistance had facilitated Stivo’s move to Donholm. However, Chingi clarified that Salasya did not directly facilitate this relocation but instead assisted in securing accommodation in BuruBuru.
Chingi further explained that while Salasya covered the deposit and
rent, he was the one who organized the move and advised against providing direct financial assistance to Stivo.
Despite concerted efforts to resolve Stivo’s housing situation, Chingi Boy expressed frustration with the ongoing conflicts and has decided to step back from managing the artist.
He confirmed that he had notified the caretaker to serve Stivo’s brother with a vacation notice and expressed disappointment that he was still responsible for covering expenses for a property occupied by someone else.
