Embakasi East MP Babu Owino to sponsor Nuru Okanga’s secondary education

Embakasi East Member of Parliament (MP), Babu Owino, has extended a scholarship to Nuru Okanga, a devoted supporter of the Azimio la Umoja-One Kenya coalition, following Okanga’s completion of his primary education.

Nuru Okanga, aged 32, was part of the 1.4 million candidates who undertook the final Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) test under the 8-4-4 system.

Using his X account, Babu Owino conveyed his congratulations to Okanga and offered financial assistance to support his continued education.

“Congratulations to Nuru Okanga for excelling in the KCPE Exams. I am pleased to grant you a scholarship for your secondary school education. Where is the math teacher here?” he playfully remarked.

It is noteworthy that Nuru Okanga has not disclosed his KCPE results, dismissing the marks circulating on social media as false.

In a recent update post the results release, Okanga acknowledged his accomplishment but chose not to reveal his scores.

“While I may not have reached my ultimate destination, I am grateful not to be where I started. Congratulations to me. Celebrations are on the way,” he wrote.

Before taking the national test, Okanga disclosed that George Wajackoyah, the leader of the Roots Party, aided in his preparation by hiring a professional tutor in Nairobi who would provide guidance whenever needed.

“I want to express my gratitude to Honorable Wajakoya, who arranged for a qualified teacher for me in Nairobi. I am confident that even if I don’t achieve the expected marks in the exam, a score of 250 is satisfactory for me,” he added.

Okanga emphasized that he embarked on his educational journey as part of his groundwork for future political aspirations.
