In the video footage, Raymond, sporting dreadlocks, engages in a brief argument with the woman seated opposite him, subsequently subjecting her to a series of violent slaps as she remains passive.
The incident, which has sparked outrage on social media under the hashtag #ArrestRaymondNduga, showcases the escalating fury of the aggressor as he intensifies the force of his blows, even resorting to backhanding his wife. He can be heard vociferously commanding her to leave the premises with the words, “Leave here, Leave here! Toka hapa!” Despite her attempts to defuse the situation and explain herself, the violence only escalates, with the man vehemently repeating, “Leave this place!”
Towards the video’s conclusion, the woman, still seated amid the onslaught of slaps, utters, “I’ve been jealous…” The exact context and location of the conflict remain undetermined, but Kenyans on X, formerly known as Twitter, have expressed their anger towards the man and his companion for failing to intervene and seemingly condoning the violence.
A prior post from the woman who endured the repeated slaps suggests that her family disapproves of her husband and has implored her to leave him. On Facebook, she declared her commitment to her marriage and stated that she would not return home.
