“NikimDM haniongeleshi” Ringtone Unveils Plan Of Getting Back At Lupita For Ignoring Him

Gospel singer Ringtone Apoko has recently shared his feelings of being overlooked by Lupita Nyong’o in the present day. Reflecting on the past when they were acquainted during Lupita’s acting days in the popular TV series “Shuga,” Ringtone lamented that his attempts to reconnect with the now-successful actress have been met with indifference.

In a candid revelation during a Radio 47 interview about his life story, Ringtone expressed his desire to purchase a house in Hollywood. His aspiration is driven by the hope of breaking into the world of film, much like Lupita Nyong’o.

“At the moment, I reside in Runda, Muthaiga, Karen, and sometimes even at the beaches in Mombasa. But now, I want to buy a house in South Africa, and if possible, realize my dream, which involves Lupita Nyong’o. Back when we both worked on ‘Shuga,’ she and I were acquaintances. However, these days, when I attempt to DM her, she doesn’t respond. So, I plan to acquire a home in Hollywood’s Beverly Hills. That way, I can take my children there, and before I depart this world, I aspire to appear in several movies,” Ringtone conveyed.

The self-proclaimed gospel chairperson also opened up about the challenges he faced during his childhood, particularly after being abandoned by his mother at a very tender age.

“I was born in Nairobi. I ventured to Mombasa in search of a foreigner. My father used to sell newspapers on Tom Mboya Street. He had a drinking problem, which led to a falling-out with my mother. She became angry and left me in a box as an infant, nearly right there where the magazines were being sold,” Ringtone narrated.

Fortunately, his uncle came to his rescue and took him in, while his grandmother assumed the responsibility of raising him. Tragedy struck when Ringtone’s father passed away when he was just five years old, followed by the loss of his grandmother when he was only seven.

“After my grandmother’s demise, I found myself living on the streets. I moved around to different towns, including Eldoret and Kericho, where I worked as a shoe shiner. Later, I concealed myself under a chair on an Eldoret Express bus one night, heading towards Nairobi. My destination was Mombasa,” he recounted.

At that time, his goal was to find a wealthy white woman who would marry him and take him out of the country, even though he was just 15 years old.

Upon reaching Mombasa, at Pirates Beach, his mission to find a potential partner proved unsuccessful, as no white woman showed interest. However, his life took an unexpected turn when he decided to linger around a hotel often frequented by white individuals. It was there that he met a man who prayed for him and encouraged him to have faith in God.

From that point onwards, Ringtone’s life began to transform. He managed to complete his high school education and subsequently released hit songs that propelled him to success.
