‎Horror in Juja: “Alimdunga vibaya sana”,Husband Allegedly Stabs Wife to Death as Nanny Recounts Chilling Ordeal

‎A quiet night in Juja turned into a nightmare after Rose Muthoni was fatally stabbed, allegedly by her husband, in front of their nanny and young child.
‎The heartbreaking incident, which has shaken the community, was pieced together through the chilling account of the family’s nanny, Tracy, who vividly recalled the terrifying hours leading up to Muthoni’s death.

‎According to Tracy, the day began normally until Muthoni’s husband came home unusually early.

‎“He returned at 10 in the morning, which was very strange because he normally came home at night,” she said in an interview with TV47. “He spent hours on the phone, then later asked me for the remote to watch a film. The movie was violent, and when a woman with an evil heart was killed, he commented that people like that deserved to die.”

‎That night, Muthoni arrived home past midnight after work in Nairobi. She was still on the phone when she noticed that the kitchen knives were missing.

‎“I told her I had left them where they usually are, but they were gone. She said she would use the one we usually keep in the oven for cutting chicken. As I was about to return to bed, I saw her husband at the door, holding a knife. When I asked what he was doing, he threw it to the ground and kept quiet,” Tracy recalled.
‎Moments later, Tracy said she heard a loud scream.

‎“I heard her crying out for help, ‘Aunty, come help me, they are killing me.’ I rushed in and found her on the floor, stabbed in the chest. He had driven the knife into her with great force,” she recounted tearfully.

‎In her final moments, Muthoni pleaded for her child’s future.
‎“She said, ‘You should have let me live for my child. Aunty, you tried to help me, but let me go. Please take care of my child.’”
‎Tracy also revealed that the enraged husband attempted to hurl the baby from the balcony.

‎“He skipped over her dying body and reached for the child. I don’t know where I got the courage, but I grabbed the baby and ran out screaming,” she said.
‎The brutal killing has left neighbors and relatives in shock, with many describing the couple as quiet and without history of public quarrels. Police are investigating the case as the community mourns the life of Rose Muthoni, remembered as a devoted mother whose last words were for the safety of her child.
