Gaucho has sparked political talk after boldly declaring that he will be on the ballot in 2027, eyeing several high-profile seats across the country.
Speaking confidently, he said he is ready to contest either the Nairobi Senator seat, the Kiharu parliamentary seat currently held by Ndindi Nyoro, or the Mathira seat associated with former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.
“2027 nitakuwa kwa debe, either senator Nairobi, Kiharu kwa Ndindi Nyoro ama Mathira kwa Gachagua, watu wa huko wananiita sana,” he said.
The statement has drawn mixed reactions, with some supporters encouraging him to go for it, while others question how practical it would be to shift between different constituencies and political battlegrounds.
Political analysts note that contesting in areas like Kiharu and Mathira would require strong grassroots networks and deep local support, especially given the influence of current leaders in those regions. At the same time, the Nairobi Senate race is expected to attract intense competition from seasoned politicians.
With 2027 still some time away, Gaucho’s declaration adds to the growing list of aspirants already positioning themselves for what is expected to be a heated election cycle.
