In a dramatic confrontation, two armed robbers met their demise in a clash with law enforcement in Kasarani, Nairobi County, while two others managed to flee with injuries sustained from gunfire.
According to police reports, the pursuit of the suspects commenced as they were driving a Nissan Note vehicle from Ruai to KU Farm in the Mwiki area. During the intense exchange of fire, the perpetrators’ vehicle was intercepted.
Among the recovered items was a Jericho pistol, which had been reported stolen from the Officer Commanding (OCS) Vihiga Police Station in December 2023.
Authorities are calling upon the public to provide any information if the fugitives attempt to seek medical treatment at any health institution.
The deceased have been transported to City Mortuary, while the vehicle has been impounded at Kasarani Police Station. Meanwhile, an extensive search operation is underway to locate the escaped suspects.
