Nakuru Governor Susan Kihika has issued a strong warning to former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, urging him not to bring what she termed as division and tribal politics into Nakuru County.
Speaking during a public event, Kihika said Nakuru has no room for divisive politics or disrespect.
The governor emphasized that Nakuru is a cosmopolitan county that thrives on unity and peaceful coexistence among different communities. She added that leaders visiting the region should focus on development and constructive engagement rather than political rivalry.
Her remarks have sparked reactions online, with supporters praising her firm stance on unity, while critics argue that political competition is part of democratic space.
The exchange highlights growing political tensions as leaders continue to position themselves ahead of future electoral contests.
