Stevo Simple Boy to Diamond: “Toa KSh20M ndiyo nikupe collabo!”

Recently, it seems that Tanzanian superstar Diamond Platnumz has been reaching out to Stevo Simple Boy through direct messages on Instagram.

According to the Kibera-born rapper, Diamond has expressed interest in collaborating with the Kenyan sensation. However, Stevo Simple Boy isn’t making it easy. “Diamond, you messaged me on Instagram asking for a collab, but if you don’t pay KSh 20 million, there won’t be any collaboration,” Stevo stated.

But why is Stevo Simple Boy playing hardball with Chibu Dangote?

“You refused to collaborate with Kenyan artists before. If you want to work with me, you have to pay KSh 20 million for us to even talk. Without it, there will be no collaboration!” Stevo emphasized.

After facing several setbacks with different management teams, Stevo Simple Boy’s music career has recently experienced a revival. He’s released hit songs like “Neno,” “Shega,” and most recently, “Vile Inafaa.”

In May of this year, Stevo Simple Boy announced that he had launched new communication channels after his relationship with his previous management fell apart.

The musician revealed that he was unable to regain control of his original social media accounts, so he decided to create new channels to stay connected with his fanbase.

“As an artist who deeply values the unwavering support of the Kenyan media and our beloved citizens, I, Stevo Simple Boy, want to express my deepest gratitude amidst recent challenges. We’ve faced obstacles that tested our resolve, but we’ve navigated through them and emerged stronger,” he said at the time. “As we embark on a new phase, I am excited to share our renewed vision and plans for the future. It is with regret that I must address the issue of mismanagement and unforeseen circumstances surrounding our previous social media accounts. Due to these unavoidable circumstances, I am announcing the launch of our new official communication channels.”
