Kenyan artist Stivo Simple Boy has stirred up excitement in the music industry with his bold remarks about a potential collaboration with Tanzanian superstar Diamond Platnumz.
The “Ndio Maanake” hitmaker, known for his humble beginnings and distinctive style, recently made headlines by stating that he would only consider working with Diamond if he were paid a substantial fee of KSh 20 million.
Stivo Simple Boy, who has won over fans with his straightforward lyrics and catchy tunes, recently debuted a new look that left many surprised. He stepped out with short maroon-dyed hair, a fake goatee, and a cream-colored outfit, making a bold fashion statement that sparked conversations among his fans.
He completed his outfit with blocked white shoes, though these reportedly made it challenging for him to move around at an all-night event.
In a recent interview, Stivo expressed his admiration for Diamond Platnumz, even dubbing himself the Kenyan counterpart to the Tanzanian music icon. However, he made it clear that any collaboration with Diamond would come at a significant cost. “Millioni mbili ama ikae,” Stivo declared, meaning it’s KSh 20 million or nothing.
