Former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has issued a warning to Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua and his supporters regarding his newly formed political party. Sonko emphasized that while he has always shown respect and refrained from speaking ill of Gachagua, any interference with his political activities could provoke a strong response.
“Gachagua, I respect you. I have never spoken badly about you even once, but if you start interfering with me, you will feel the heat. Even though I have only a small number of votes, let us compete with respect,” Sonko stated.
The warning underscores Sonko’s determination to defend his political space while advocating for respectful competition, highlighting rising tensions as new political alliances and parties emerge ahead of upcoming elections.
