A family is in turmoil after a father reportedly ordered his 19-year-old son to return KSh 10 million that he won from a sports bet.
The young man had staked just KSh 100 before hitting the jackpot. But instead of celebrating the unexpected windfall, the father strongly opposed it, saying he does not approve of gambling money.
The strange family drama was revealed through an anonymous message on the NGL platform and later shared by CorrectNG.
According to the message, the boy’s brother said their father wants the money returned to the betting company, sparking heated conflict at home.
The brother further explained that the family is struggling with pending rent and other financial needs, but their father has remained firm, insisting they cannot use the money.
The situation has also caused tension between the father and his wife, who feels the winnings could solve many of their problems.
Despite pressure from the family, the father is standing his ground, saying gambling is against his principles and the money should not enter his house.
