Road accidents continue to rise across Kenya, with the latest tragedy leaving a Makueni family nursing serious injuries after their newly purchased car crashed along the Ngoluni–Tawa Highway in Mbooni East Constituency.
According to reports, the family of three—a man, his wife, and their child—had just acquired the vehicle when it lost control at Kwakavemba town. The car overturned, rolling several times before coming to a halt.
The victims were rushed to Tawa Level 4 Hospital, where they are being treated for serious injuries. Police revealed that the car was still using a temporary dealership plate, as it had not yet been assigned an official registration number.
Photos circulating online show the vehicle wrecked beyond recognition, with its rear completely crushed. Traffic officers later towed the mangled wreckage to the nearest police station as investigations into the accident continue.
The shocking incident has left locals in disbelief, with many expressing sympathy for the family, who had barely enjoyed their new ride before disaster struck.
