Secret unit behind abductions operating from a CBD building, Former Dp Gachagua alleges

Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has alleged the existence of a covert unit orchestrating recent abductions in Kenya. Speaking during a press address on Friday, Gachagua claimed the unit operates independently of the Inspector General of Police and is led by a man he identified only as “Abel,” who is reportedly related to a senior government official.

“There is a unit that is not under the command of the IG of Police. There’s a building in Nairobi, on the 21st floor in the city center, where this unit is operating from, led by a certain Mr. Abel. Abel is a cousin to a very senior official in this government,” Gachagua disclosed.

The former Deputy President issued a stern warning, threatening to reveal more details if the unit is not disbanded. “If this unit is not dismantled, we will name the building, the officer, and his cousin. Your guess is as good as mine as to who is the commander of that unit,” he added.

Gachagua also criticized President William Ruto for his silence on the matter, questioning why the abduction victims share a common trait of being vocal critics of the President.

He further expressed his concerns about the growing discontent among Kenyan citizens, warning that such acts of violence would only escalate public anger. “Killing our children will not quell the anger of the Kenyan people,” Gachagua stated, condemning the administration’s handling of the issue.
