Police in Nairobi are investigating the death of a 15-year-old girl who was allegedly beaten to death by her father for visiting her mother without permission.
The deceased, identified as Shirleen, visited her mother on December 26, 2025.
She was fatally punished by her father, Nelson Omena, on December 31, 2025.
Pamela Omena, the mother, revealed that she spoke with the deceased, who told her that she had been beaten by her father for visiting her.
”I called my daughter, and she told me to go for her because she had been beaten by her father. She told me that she was going to come over if I did not go for her,” Pamela said.
According to the mother, she broke up with the suspect 3 years ago.
They visited a court, where it was established that the father was to stay with the deceased.
Police revealed that the suspect rushed the deceased to Mama Lucy Hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries.
By the time the mother was heading to the hospital, the suspect had already disappeared.
A report stated that after beating her, he rushed her to Mama Lucy Hospital and abandoned her. She was pronounced dead.
The matter was reported at Dandora police station on January 1, 2026. Neighbors said that they did not hear anything on the fateful day.
