Eunice Wambui, popularly known by her stage name Nyasuguta, has revealed that she is currently single and searching for the right partner.
From a young age, Eunice developed a passion for acting, starting out in church plays where her talent was quickly noticed. She later joined Tahidi High on Citizen TV as one of the pioneer actors, playing the role of the first head girl under the stage name “Sony,” alongside names like Pierra Makena.
Her big break came when veteran actress Mama Kayai recognized her potential and recommended her for a role in the legendary comedy show Vitimbi. Initially hesitant about playing the wife character, Eunice eventually embraced it — and thus, the household name Nyasuguta was born. She became Mogaka’s on-screen wife, and their chemistry kept audiences glued to their screens for years.
Away from the cameras, Nyasuguta admits she is ready to settle down, but only with the right man.
“I am very single and looking for a husband,” she told Word Is.
She insists that her ideal partner must be financially stable, God-fearing, and not someone who expects her to act as a sponsor.
Nyasuguta also addressed her much-discussed transformation that once left fans shocked. Many had grown accustomed to her chubby, dark-skinned appearance on Vitimbi, only to later see her with a lighter complexion. Social media erupted with speculation, but the actress has since clarified that the change was a result of a tragic road accident in 2013.
“I was involved in an accident in 2013. I got dented on the face. The dent was lighter than other parts of my face, making me look like I had two different complexions,” she explained.
She revealed that the accident affected her skin pigmentation, forcing her to seek medical treatment to restore her facial appearance.
Despite the challenges, Nyasuguta continues to inspire fans with her resilience, reminding many of the strong character that made her a household name in Kenya’s entertainment scene.
