Religious Gathering Turns dramatic ,Kisumu Pastor Sexually Assaults Young girl In Guest House

Kisumu is reeling after a disturbing incident at a local guest house, where a visiting pastor is accused of sexually assaulting the host’s young daughter.

The incident reportedly occurred on August 21, 2025, at Dignitaries Guest House in Manyatta, a facility owned by a local pastor and his wife. The guest house had been hosting several pastors who had gathered for a meeting on church unity and cooperation.

According to police reports, a 24-year-old woman, employed to assist with the event, was delivering hot water to the rooms where the pastors were staying. At around midday, she entered one of the rooms when a visiting pastor allegedly grabbed her, forced her onto a bed, and assaulted her.

“She tried to resist, but he overpowered her,” a police report (OB 51/12/09/2025) noted. The ordeal left the victim injured and traumatized.

Another woman, identified as Charity, heard the victim’s cries and rushed into the room. She reportedly found the pastor on top of the young woman and immediately raised the alarm. Authorities were called, and the case was formally registered.

The incident has sparked outrage in Kisumu, with community members condemning the alleged behavior. Religious leaders expressed shock, calling for accountability and stressing that violence or sexual misconduct has no place in church gatherings.

Dignitaries Guest House, usually regarded as a safe venue for religious events, has also come under scrutiny for failing to adequately safeguard attendees and staff. The owners have pledged full cooperation with investigators.

Police have urged anyone with additional information to come forward as investigations continue, with interviews planned for witnesses who may have observed the events that day.

The case has reignited broader conversations about protecting young women in workplaces and community settings. Advocates are calling for stricter safeguards and increased awareness to prevent such incidents.

Authorities have reassured the public that they are taking the matter seriously and will pursue justice for the victim.
