Kang’ata Hints That Mt. Kenya Region Will Not Support Ruto If His Running Mate Will Not Be From The Region.

Murang’a County Senator, Irungu Kang’ata has hinted that Deputy President, William Ruto will not clentch the country’s top seat if his running mate will not come from the region.

Kang’ata said that for Ruto to secure the vote rich Mt Kenya region, he has to pick a running mate from that region or risk loosing the seat to his rivals.

The Senator who was speaking in an interview noted that for Ruto’s United Democratic Alliance (UDA) to gain popularity in that region is by choosing a running mate who will solidly the residents trust in him.

“My personal view is that it would be very wise if Ruto’s 2022 running mate could come from the Mt Kenya region, which is our side.”

“This will popularize more the UDA party,” said Kang’ata.

“The truth of the matter is that at the moment, I have not been asked to go and issue demands to the deputy president.”

“So all that the people of Mt. Kenya have us is that we should work closely with him,” explained Kang’ata.

“There have been by-elections in Central Kenya that the hustler nation has won, and that is a clear indication that Ruto has enough support in the region to make him the fifth president,” added Kang’ata.
