Veteran radio broadcaster Bramwell Mololo recently celebrated his wedding to Damaris Wambui in a vibrant ceremony held on Saturday, November 30, at a Nairobi hotel. The event was attended by prominent politicians and public figures, including government spokesperson Isaac Mwaura, politicians Brian Weke, and Gerald Bitok, the director of public communication at State House Nairobi.
Mwaura, who has been friends with Mwololo for over a decade, expressed his joy, saying, “Finally, Sir Mwololo Bramwell has found his ‘jiko’! No more single life. Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Damaris Wambui (Dee) Mwela Mwololo, the newest couple in town. May our dear Lord bless your union forever.”
Brian Weke also shared his congratulations, saying, “Congratulations Bram.”
Bramwell Mwololo is a well-known figure in Kenyan media, having had a long tenure with Radio Africa Group. He is especially recognized for his popular political talk show, where he hosts prominent figures to discuss current issues. Outside of broadcasting, Mwololo is passionate about sports, particularly rugby and football. He has been with the Waiyaki Way-based media house for nearly 16 years, joining in 2008.
The wedding of Mwololo and Wambui took place just a day after that of Court of Appeal judge Aggrey Muchelule, who married his fiancée Judy Kerich at a traditional ceremony in Uasin Gishu County on Friday, November 29. The event, held in Kessess Constituency, was attended by close friends and family. The ceremony featured Kalenjin traditional wedding customs as the two families came together to celebrate the union.
Among the distinguished guests at Muchelule’s wedding were National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetangula, Head of Public Service Felix Koskei, Kakamega Governor Fernandes Barasa, and Kenya Airports Authority (KAA) Board Chairperson Caleb Kositany.
In his speech at the wedding, Wetangula encouraged the attendees to embrace the rich cultural diversity brought by the union of the two communities. He urged everyone to look beyond tribal boundaries and foster a national outlook that celebrates the unity of Kenya’s diverse cultures.
