Popular TikToker Rachel Otuoma has spoken publicly about the unbreakable bond she still shares with her late husband, former footballer Ezekiel Otuoma, months after his passing.
In a candid interview with content creator Oga Obinna, Rachel expressed that her love and respect for Ezekiel remain strong. She revealed that she continues to wear her wedding ring and has no plans to take it off, as it symbolizes the cherished moments they spent together during their marriage.
Rachel also stated that she will keep the name “Otuoma” as part of her identity, explaining that it holds emotional significance.
“The name Rachel Otuoma will always be mine. He gave me that name when we got married, and until his passing, we were never separated legally. There’s no reason for me to drop it,” she said.
When asked about moving on, Rachel said she isn’t thinking about getting into a committed relationship anytime soon. While she acknowledged that people can love again after loss, she personally feels her late husband will always occupy a special place in her heart.
“I doubt I’ll ever be in another serious relationship. If anything ever happens, it would just be casual. My ring stays on because removing it doesn’t feel right,” she explained.
Rachel also addressed her decision to move out of the home she once shared with Ezekiel. She said the memories were too overwhelming and relocating was part of her healing process.
“That house held too many memories. I had to move out to start over and begin the journey of healing,” she shared.
Ezekiel Otuoma passed away in December last year after battling a motor neurone disease for nearly five years, a condition that left him paralyzed. He was laid to rest in early January.
