Nuru Okanga advices Ruto as he reacts to Museveni threatening Kenya-Wewe Ruto unafanya Kenya tuonekane wanyonge, hii kijana jeuri ya Museveni wanatutishia wakiwa na babake na wewe umenyamaza.

Outspoken political activist Nuru Okanga has weighed in on the recent remarks made by Uganda’s President Yoweri Museveni and his son General Muhoozi Kainerugaba, who appeared to issue threats against Kenya.

Okanga, known for his fiery political statements and unwavering support for the opposition, criticized President William Ruto for remaining silent amid what he described as “open provocation” from Uganda’s leadership.

“Wewe Ruto unafanya Kenya tuonekane wanyonge, hii kijana jeuri ya Museveni wanatutishia wakiwa na babake na wewe umenyamaza. Kama Museveni anataka katambe, wacha katambe tuwaonyeshe kitu Jomo Kenyatta alionyesha Idi Amin,” said Okanga.

His sentiments come after General Muhoozi, Museveni’s son, made controversial comments suggesting that Uganda could “capture the Indian Ocean from Kenya in just eight hours.” The remarks sparked outrage among Kenyans, with many viewing them as a direct insult to Kenya’s sovereignty.

Okanga urged President Ruto to stand firm and defend Kenya’s dignity, emphasizing that silence could be mistaken for weakness. He reminded Ugandans of Kenya’s historical strength, referring to former President Jomo Kenyatta’s bold stand against Uganda’s Idi Amin during the 1970s.

The statement by Okanga has ignited mixed reactions online — with some Kenyans applauding his patriotism, while others accused him of fueling unnecessary tension between the two neighboring countries.

As the diplomatic standoff continues to unfold, many are now watching closely to see whether President Ruto’s administration will issue an official response to Museveni’s or his son’s comments.
