Former President Uhuru Kenyatta has reflected on the political attacks he endured during his final term in office, saying he was unfairly branded part of the “dynasty” even as he made decisions he believed were in the best interest of the country.
Speaking at a recent public function, Uhuru noted that the political narrative of “Dynasty versus Hustler” was used against him in the run-up to the 2022 General Election, leading to his opponents gaining traction among ordinary citizens.
“Nilitusiwa nikiitwa Dynasty, wakachagua Hustler. Mimi hata sikuwa na ubaya, I was doing what I knew was right for the country,” he said.
