The group has made it clear that they will not accept anything below their established rate of Ksh 300,000.
But who exactly is Ngesh Wa Vasha?
Ngesh is a prominent member of the Spider Clan, a music collective based in Naivasha. Together with Ngesh wa Vasha, they have produced one of the most popular tracks in the Kenyan music industry. This particular song has become a street anthem in many of the country’s slum areas.
Ngesh wa Vasha’s fame skyrocketed due to this song, making her the star of the moment. Her catchy lyrics such as “Cash’crop za nyandaru ni mawaru” and “Kaveve Kazoze” have dominated Twitter trends for nearly two weeks.
