Tragically, a Nakuru couple who recently gave birth to quintuplets has lost all five of their babies. The infants were being cared1 for at Margaret Kenyatta Mother and Baby wing at Rift Valley Provincial General Hospital.
According to Dr. Aisha Maina, the Superintendent of the hospital, the five babies passed away on Thursday, February 2nd.
Dr. Maina reported that 25-year-old Margaret Wairimu came to the hospital on January 29th experiencing discomfort.
The babies were then delivered via c-section, although prematurely, at six months into the pregnancy. As a result, the infants had very low weights ranging from 500-600 grams.
