Jaguar Kanyi, the former Starehe MP, has subtly expressed his openness to the idea of having a second wife.
In an interview with Kameme FM, the musician-turned-politician shared his thoughts on marriage, stating, “I’m married, and my wife is very supportive, but I would consider marrying another one. She is well taken care of, and I am confident she wouldn’t mind if I had another wife.” Jaguar proudly identified himself as a devoted family man during the conversation.
Reflecting on his family history, Jaguar recounted the dissolution of his parents’ marriage after his father took on another wife. He emphasized the complexity of relationships, noting that he refrained from passing judgment on his father’s decisions as he was unaware of the underlying issues between his parents.
Recalling the challenging period during his childhood, Jaguar disclosed that his family moved to his grandmother’s home after his father remarried. The transition occurred when he was in sixth grade, and his mother’s health deteriorated significantly. Tragically, she succumbed to illness, leaving Jaguar to grapple with the aftermath.
Describing the hardships he faced, Jaguar revealed, “Mad depression, a lot of fights, I used to leave school to look for small jobs to buy her medicine.” His father’s absence and struggles with alcohol further compounded the difficulties, leading Jaguar to live with his grandmother, as his father was unable to accommodate him with the new wife.
Jaguar reflected on his tumultuous educational journey, marked by financial constraints, irregular attendance, and repeated class retentions. He attributed these challenges to the strained relationship with his father and the ensuing circumstances that disrupted his academic pursuits.
In essence, Jaguar’s narrative offers a glimpse into the complexities of family dynamics, the impact of parental decisions on children, and the resilience required to overcome adversity during formative years.
