“My Baby Daddy Is Kalonzo Musyoka’s Brother!”Gospel Musician Justina Syokau Reveals

Controversial musician Justina Syokau has recently opened up about her tumultuous past, revealing the identity of her baby’s father, and shedding light on her painful personal experiences. In previous statements, she had candidly discussed her brief marriage in 2012, which ended in divorce the following year, citing infidelity as the main reason for their separation.

In an emotional Instagram post, Syokau courageously shared that her ex-husband and the father of her child is Johnston Vundi Musyoka, the brother of prominent politician Kalonzo Musyoka. She shared her struggles, saying, “My worst day in my life 😭😭. I am tired of pretending that I am okay. My ex’s name is Johnstone Vundi Musyoka, Brother to Kalonzo Musyoka.”

Syokau further revealed the details of her marriage, explaining that Johnston married her in June 2012. However, their relationship quickly took a turn for the worse. In August 2013, just over a year later, he forced her out of their marital home, leaving her to raise their son, Nixon Musyoka Vundi, on her own.

“He married me in June 2012, but chased me out of our matrimonial home in August 2013. Together, we had a son named Nixon Musyoka Vundi,” Syokau recalled.

After the birth of their son, Syokau faced mistreatment from her mother-in-law, who insisted that her son would not provide for the child. This lack of support from both her husband and his family ultimately pushed Syokau to leave the marriage.

“As soon as I gave birth to our son, his mother declared that her son would never support our child. My husband’s mother, Mully, mistreated me and even threatened me to leave her son,” she shared.

Syokau also disclosed that after their separation, Johnston, who worked at the Foreign Affairs Ministry and served as a religious officer, subjected her to further torment. He repeatedly threatened her, forcing her to seek legal protection. A court initially ordered him to contribute KES 3,500 per month in child support, later increasing it to KES 8,000. However, Johnston eventually ceased all payments.

“He has been funding people to abuse me on social media. I have endured a lot because of him. I have suffered immensely with my child. I apologize to Kenyans who may feel I am wrong for sharing this, but my son’s birthday is on the 4th of August. My son doesn’t even know if he has a father, even though his father is very much alive,” Syokau expressed.

Elaborating on the emotional and physical abuse she endured during their marriage, Syokau revealed that her ex-husband subjected her to both physical violence and emotional torment, leading to her depression.

“We separated because he was physically abusive, unsupportive, and humiliated me repeatedly. I became depressed in my own home and couldn’t speak out because we were known to the public. I suffered in silence until I found the courage to share my story with Lynn Ngungi of Tuko Talks,” she said.

Syokau admitted that she had never publicly addressed her ex-husband’s behavior until now, out of fear for her safety. She had refrained from reaching out to him, fully aware of the potential harm his actions could cause.
