A middle aged man is currently nursing life-threatening injuries after he allegedly jumped off a moving cargo train in Maragua.
It is reported that the man lost his leg after falling off the train which in return ran over his legs.
The train was on transit to Nanyuki where it was transport Petroleum fuel from Nairobi.
The man is said to have opted not to pay the Ksh250 for fare and decided to enjoy a joy ride to cut the cost.
As the train approached Maragua town, out of fear of being arrested, be is said to have jumped off but slid and fall right on the rail tracks.
Confirming the reports, area police boss, Alexander Shikondi stated that the man has since been transferred to a local hospital as investigations commence.
