Details emerging indicate that Mediamax owned station, Kameme TV has warned Njanjo Ya Muturire (loosely translated to Life’s Jab) host, Man Nyari from going live on Facebook during the show.
According to reports by a local daily, Man Nyari who has managed to capture the hearts of Kenya is giving the station a competition seeing that fans who love the show prefer watching it on Nyaris live feed instead of Kameme TV.
The daily also claimed that advertisers have started pulling out of the show due to low numbers of engagement, a move that has seen the station file loses.
The stations decision to stop Nyari from going live according to a source indicated that its because of a system change in broadcasting and has nothing to do with bad blood between the station and Nyari.
However, Kenyans have expressed their displeasure with the decision saying that they don’t have time to watch the TV and prefer following the show live on Facebook.
Notably, in what seemed like a cripple move, Kameme had fired Man Nyari a while back and replaced him with Wamucii Wa Kinyari but Kenyans boycotted the station until the management bowed to pressure and brought back the celebrated media personality.
