2NK Driver Fired After Reporting Bhang Smoking Students To The Police Lands Govt Job.

John Maina Muthoni, the 2NK driver who lost his job after allegedly trying to report bhang smoking students to the police has secured a job.

Maina has now been employed as a driver by the Nyeri County government.

Offering him the job, Governor Mutahi Kahiga on Tuesday, November 30 labeled Maina as a courageous hero.

“Drugs abuse is a crime that breaks the hearts of many parents and ruins the lives of many young men and women and we condemn it at the highest level,” Kahiga stated.

Maina, 32, was headed to the police station when the intoxicated students jumped out of the moving vehicle before he could reach the reporting desk.

“I have lost a job because of reporting students for using bhang and alcohol in the vehicle, now they are harassing me,” he wrote.

The Sacco however in a statement stated that they had fired Muthoni after he failed to hand in the day’s collection.

“When confronted about the issue for rectification, he argued with the stage controller, promoting his summon to the board for clarification, where he appeared and he in fact committed to go clear with his employer, after which he would resume his duties,” the management stated.
