Award-winning Kenyan actress Jackie Matubia recently shared valuable advice with her fans, particularly regarding the topic of having children and starting a family.
In her latest YouTube video, Jackie delved into her evolving perspective on life. She disclosed her decision to embark on a journey to Dubai with her daughters to celebrate her eldest child’s 8th birthday.
The mother of two explained that her motivation for this adventure was to fulfill her daughter’s dream, and this was an opportunity to make it a reality.
Furthermore, Jackie revealed that the trip was generously sponsored by her first child’s father, who is also the father of Zari, her daughter. In light of this, she seized the moment to urge her fans to be discerning when selecting their co-parents, emphasizing the importance of choosing wisely.
“It was a family vacation, and the father was also part of it,” she chuckled. “I keep telling you, even when deciding to have children, be selective about who you have children with. Hehe, because some of us, even though I’m giving you advice, I’ve also made mistakes. However, I’m being honest with you.”
In a recent development, Jackie Matubia disclosed that she and her first child’s father, Kennedy Njogu, have been successfully co-parenting for several months. The two collaborated to commemorate their daughter Zari’s transition from lower to upper school.
Notably, Jackie Matubia and Blessing Lungaho parted ways in June, just before their daughter turned one, following a series of cryptic posts made by the actress on social media.
On Father’s Day, Jackie posted a humorous image of a man lying next to a pack of diapers in a supermarket, humorously suggesting that he had “fainted” upon seeing the high cost of diapers. Her accompanying message read, “Happy Father’s Day, deadbeats,” which hinted at her frustration with fathers who shirk their parental responsibilities.
During a question and answer session with fans on Instagram, she addressed the topic of co-parenting her one-year-old daughter, Zendaya, with her ex-partner, Blessing Lungaho.
In her response, the mother of two stressed that successful co-parenting is contingent on the willingness of the child’s father to be actively involved in the child’s life. She underscored the importance of interested fathers and their role in co-parenting arrangements.
When asked if Blessing Lungaho is assisting in raising Zendaya or if she is handling it alone, Jackie responded by sharing a video of herself with the song “Huniachi” by Reuben Kigame and Gloria Muliro playing in the background. Her facial expressions conveyed her sentiments, highlighting her commitment to her children’s well-being and her own personal healing as her top priorities.
