Kenyans support the COVID-19 control measures enforced by President Uhuru Kenyatta government on May 1, 2021, to curb the spread of the virus.
This is as indicated by a new poll by Infotrak which shows that 63% of Kenyans support the nationwide 10 pm to 4 am curfew. 36% don’t uphold the curfew while 1% don’t have the foggiest idea.
The survey which was released on Tuesday, September 7, additionally shows that 68% of Kenyans support the operating hours of restaurants and bars while 31% don’t and the 1% are not sure.
Another 53% of Kenyans support the restrictions in spots of worship.
The poll further says that around 2 out of 5 Kenyans (44% of the respondents) are of the assessment that the nationwide COVID-19 contamination rate is rising while 31% disagree.
Infotrak also claims that 2 out of 5 Kenyans who contracted the Covid looked for help from family members and companions to pay for the cost of treatment, while 1 out of 5 used their savings.
The survey additionally added that it costs about Sh21,359 each day per patient to oversee COVID-19 in medical clinics for asymptomatic patients, Sh.21,361 for those with mild symptoms, Sh24,705 for those with severe diseases, and Sh51,684 for critical patients in ICUs.
