Nabii Yohana (V), a self-proclaimed prophet hailing from Nandolia village in Bukembe West Ward, Kanduyi Constituency, has surpassed the notable record set by the late Akuku Danger. While Akuku Danger had 45 wives and over 210 children, Nabii Yohana has taken it a step further by marrying 46 wives, who have collectively blessed him with 289 children and 232 grandchildren.
In defiance of conventional practices, Nabii Yohana claims that his wives are chosen by God, and he has not pursued any conventional dating methods. According to him, he is obligated by God’s word to marry up to 48 wives to avoid committing adultery. Notably, the prophet, who has maintained an unshaven appearance since birth, asserts that God directs these unions.
Residing in five different homes scattered across Soi, Kimilili, Chereng’any, Kakamega town, and Kitale town, Nabii leads a vegetarian lifestyle, abstaining from meat. His dietary choices are reflected in the meals his wives prepare, consisting of saga, suja (bitter vegetables), and murenda.
Born as Ronald Nakalila Wanyama, Nabii asserts that he is the reincarnation of John the Baptist and has experienced previous lives in the United States and Africa, where he claims he will live for 280 years. According to his prophecy, he will die but resurrect to live for an additional 2,700 years. Nabii believes he is on a divine mission to save mankind from corruption, homosexuality, and bad governance, positioning himself as the last prophet sent by God.

To fulfill this mission, Nabii has spent 68 years crafting a revised Bible, consisting of 93 books, with 48 dedicated to the Old Testament. The unveiling of his Bible is scheduled for April 23 at his Muungano Church of the Holy Spirit for All Nations in Nandolia village, Bungoma.
In a recent interview at his Bungoma County residence, Nabii expressed his intent to challenge existing norms further. He aims to petition the government to introduce his currency, “Mzawadi,” replacing the shilling. Additionally, he advocates for relocating the Central Bank headquarters to the Kenya-Uganda border at Lwakhakha, where he plans to launch his new currency.

Nabii criticizes the current currency, linking it to societal ills such as corruption, robbery with violence, political assassinations, and the spread of HIV/AIDS. He argues that the image of President Mzee Jomo Kenyatta on the currency implies private ownership. With a considerable following in Bungoma, Uasin Gishu, Nandi, and Kisumu counties, Nabii asserts that Kenyan churches must migrate by April, aligning with his new doctrines.
Aside from his theological pursuits, Nabii claims the ability to pray for the sick and resurrect the dead, catering to a diverse clientele that includes politicians and high-ranking government officials. His unconventional methods involve jumping over the deceased three times for resurrection and stepping on the sick to facilitate healing.
