I moved from US to Nairobi for my wife; She started cheating with our Shamba Boy, stealing from our business

Tom, a businessman, made the bold decision to leave the United States and establish his business in Kibera. Through virtual means, he connected with his future wife, and their union, though filled with challenges, led to a surprising turn of events….CONTINUE READING

In 2017, Tom noticed his spouse with his cousin, their hands interlocked. Intrigued, he questioned her about their relationship. She explained that they had met through a mutual work colleague, sparking a conversation that blossomed into a deep emotional connection.

In 2018, when Tom visited Kenya, he introduced his girlfriend to his parents. However, his parents were skeptical, particularly about her dyed hair. Despite their reservations, Tom remained steadfast in his decision to marry her.

Shortly after, his wife informed him of her pregnancy. Tom returned to the United States, coming back nine months later to find a place to stay in Nairobi. As a gift, he bought a van for himself and a small car for his wife from Japan.

Upon arrival, Tom’s wife shared news that her father planned to sell nine properties for Sh. 40,000 each. Recognizing an investment opportunity, Tom negotiated and purchased the houses for Sh. 35,000 each. However, to his dismay, the houses were non-existent, revealing his wife’s deception.

To clear a car from the port, Tom pressured his wife to use the money intended for buying a plot. Unbeknownst to him, the money was borrowed from a chama, causing a cascade of financial missteps.

While Tom thought the funds were for purchasing the Kibera houses, he later discovered his wife had deceived a women’s group chama, borrowing money with false promises of importing vehicles from Japan. This led to her arrest and Tom paying Sh. 200,000 to settle the debt.

Despite these challenges, Tom initiated a club business for his wife in Kibera, with monthly sales exceeding 2 million. Behind the scenes, however, issues emerged. Security personnel engaged in unethical practices, serving alcohol brought from outside to customers, and other dishonest activities.

Tom discovered his wife’s associations with male friends receiving free, unaccounted-for alcohol. Additionally, money was collected but not accurately accounted for, revealing a trail of unpaid debts. Further investigations unveiled his wife’s infidelity with multiple men, ultimately leading to the breakdown of their marriage.

“I found out she was cheating for the partial month of December and partly month of January. While at the shop, she was constantly texting. I’d launched up investigations with different people to help me track her down. She’s been spotted with many guys. She denied everything,” he said.
