A former Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) officer has come forward with a shocking revelation, claiming she was unjustly dismissed after serving the military for 11 years.
Speaking to Tuko News, the woman said her only “mistake” was being involved in a romantic relationship with a senior officer — a situation that later turned her career upside down.
She revealed that she joined the military during President Mwai Kibaki’s administration and initially enjoyed a stable and fulfilling career. Living on the base with her family, she was able to balance her professional duties and personal life effectively.
However, while working under a senior officer, the two reportedly developed a sexual relationship. According to her, everything changed when she tried to end the affair. The officer allegedly became vindictive, threatening her repeatedly.
In a shocking twist, she claims the officer planted bullets in her house, leading to a search by KDF officials. When the ammunition was discovered, she was immediately dismissed from service.
She says she was never court-martialed or given a fair hearing — only dismissed through an official letter. The former officer is now pursuing legal action, arguing that her termination violated military procedures and her constitutional rights.
Adding to her struggles, she claims she has never received her dues or benefits for the 11 years she served.
