Kenyan comedian Flaqo has opened up about the decision to reclaim a Nissan Note worth KSh 650,000, which he had gifted his ex-girlfriend, content creator Winnie Keranta, for her 22nd birthday.
Speaking during an interview with Oga Obinna, Flaqo clarified that the vehicle was legally registered in his name.
“Ile gari ilikuwa kwa jina yangu, and there was no way I could leave the car behind… The car was a convenient gift to my girlfriend; there is no ex there, one’s ex appears its X,” he said, playfully addressing the matter.
Flaqo added that apart from the car, all other gifts he had given Keranta remain with her.
His comments have since reignited debates online about expensive gifts in relationships—specifically whether they should be returned once the relationship ends.
