The warning messages explicitly stated, “Warning! You are engaging in behavior that may be considered annoying or abusive by other users.” Additionally, Facebook’s system detected instances where users were deemed to be taking actions too rapidly, prompting a directive to significantly slow down. Users were informed that further misuse of site features could lead to temporary blocks or permanent disablement of their accounts.

Expressing frustration, one user lamented, “This has been frustrating; I’m unable to access my accounts.” Simultaneously, on Instagram, users experienced issues with account refreshes, and the comment section on posts became inactive. Efforts to post comments were met with a message indicating that the comments would be added once the user was reconnected.

Remarkably, all previous comments appeared to have vanished during this period of disruption.
