City under The Sun:Nairobi Ranked 107th Top Global Cities for business

Nairobi has been ranked the 107th most attractive city in the world for start-up ventures, climbing six positions from last year’s 113th spot. This improvement highlights the growing support for entrepreneurs in the city, driven by both government and private sector investments.

The capital’s advancement mirrors Kenya’s improved performance in the Global Startup Ecosystem Index, where the country rose five places to 58th globally. This is Kenya’s first positive movement in the rankings after years of stagnation and decline.

According to a report by StartupBlink, a global research platform focused on start-up ecosystems, Nairobi has maintained its spot as the third-best start-up hub in Africa for the second year in a row. The city also remains the top start-up destination in Eastern Africa for the fifth straight year.

This year is also a major milestone for Kenya, as it entered the global top 60 start-up ecosystems for the first time. The country has now bounced back from last year’s slip from position 62 to 63.
