Christina Shusho given a Kenyan name by Churchill as she drops collabo with Mercy Masika

Tanzanian songstress Christina Shusho, acclaimed for her musical prowess, was bestowed with a Kenyan moniker by the iconic comedian Mwalimu Churchill shortly after arriving in Kenya.

Having headlined the Shusha Nyavu concert on the eve of New Year, Shusho disclosed that she had been given the name Mwende by Churchill.

Mwende, a Kamba name, carries the meaning of a trailblazing spirit. According to Myfirstnamerockls website, individuals bearing the name Mwende are inherently natural leaders, driven, and focused on achieving their goals.

Christina revealed her newly acquired Kenyan name while garnering support for her latest song, “Rebecca,” a collaboration with Mercy Masika.

“Christina Shusho ‘Mwende’ (my Kenyan name given to me by @MwalimChurchill),” shared Christina Shusho.

Expressing her gratitude, Shusho thanked the Kenyan audience for their overwhelming presence at her concert. She also extended her appreciation to Churchill and his team for organizing a spectacular event.
