A shocking incident from Calabar, Cross River State has left many speechless after a middle-aged woman allegedly stabbed her 15-year-old househelp upon finding her in a compromising position with her husband.
According to local reports, the woman reportedly returned home unexpectedly and found the teenage girl sitting on her husband’s lap as the two watched TikTok videos together. The confrontation quickly escalated, and in a fit of rage, the woman allegedly attacked the girl with a knife.
The disturbing incident was first reported by Andrea Ekeng Inyang, the Special Assistant to the Governor of Cross River State, who confirmed that the suspect was arrested shortly after the incident.
“The news this evening — somewhere in Mbukpa Street, Calabar South — a woman walked in on her 15-year-old house girl sitting on her husband’s lap watching TikTok videos. She got furious and stabbed the girl. As I type this, she is behind the counter,” Inyang said.
Police have since confirmed that the suspect is in custody and will face attempted murder charges as investigations continue.
The teenage girl is said to be recovering in hospital, and authorities have promised a full investigation into the matter to ensure justice is served.
